Quality Assurance

Skarpenord Corrosion offers the full range of cathodic protection services and products for the offshore, industrial and marine markets comprising sacrificial anodes in zinc and aluminium alloys, grounding cables, cathodic protection engineering and design, inspection and service of CP systems.

Sacrificial Anodes

Cathodic protection is achieved by connecting a noble metal to a less noble. In practice, steel is protected by the supply of electrons from more reactive metals e.g. zinc, aluminium and magnesium, which are called sacrificial anode materials.

Anodes can be manufactured in various configurations.

Grounding Equipment

Multistranded bonding cables designed to meet offshore requirements.
* 16 mm2, double or single PVC-insulated, multistranded (approx. 120 strands) copper cable.
* Cable shoes made from carbon steel, AISI 316L steel or copper.
* Copper cable to be silver soldered to cable shoes.
* Length of cable to be specified by client in each case.

Bonding cables are also supplied with cross sectional areas of 10 mm and 35 mm upon request. Further, the cables may as an option be delivered with a single sheet PVC insulation.
